Gothic Cottage

Working closely with the clients, this beautiful house was reconfigured internally with a new open plan staircase that formed the central focus to the house. New rooms and a general upgrading of the whole house which was becoming tired and not quite suiting the client's changing lifestyle.

New bespoke windows throughout that were all changed to double glazing with some carefully considered extra windows for extra light, upgraded insulation and sound proofing all went towards making this beautiful house more sustainable, lighter and more economic to run.

New fitted furniture was designed and commissioned, new flooring throughout, and the kitchen upgraded to give new and exciting life to this beautifully situated home.

Externally the carved facia boards and fretwork were replaced with a long lasting timber, walls replastered and damp problems remedied. The drive way was altered and made more serviceable, external lighting upgraded and hard landscaping renovated and extended.

I worked closely with the architect, engineers and various trades and contractors to bring the project in on time and in budget.
