Town House

This Listed Building was vast with some 10 bedrooms, it was cleverly split with a newly constructed staircase fitted in a void created within the interior and servicing the new half of the building over it's four floors.

The right architect was needed for this difficult job, they totally reconfigured the whole house with the approval of the conservation officers, this gave new life and sustainability to this extraordinary building. One half is now an adaptable let property and the other half a large home.

With creative industry owners, design sensitivity was very important; materials, colours, revealing old surfaces and well considered decisions on joinery and fittings. A complete re-wiring and re-plumbing in an old building is never easy but good co-ordination is essential for it to work well.

New kitchens and new bathrooms were all designed with the client and architect as the project progressed, staircases commissioned as well as fitted furniture.
